Images and artificial intelligence

The project photographs show real works by the studio. The illustrative images in the insights are generated with artificial intelligence and are declared, on the page and in the file.

This is a translation: if the two versions differ, the Italian text prevails.

In brief

  • the photographs in the case studies, services and method pages show buildings, interiors and products designed by the studio;
  • the illustrative images in the insights are generated with artificial intelligence: they depict scenarios, not existing places or projects;
  • every generated image carries the “AI” mark and declares it in its alternative text and in the file metadata.

Generated images

All the illustrative images in the insights are generated with artificial intelligence, including those that present them in the lists:

They make visible the themes and design principles described in the texts. The scenes were chosen and checked by the studio, but they do not document completed projects. The authors' portraits are photographs.

How to recognise them

  • On the page: the “AI” mark in the corner of the image.
  • For screen reader users: the alternative text ends with “AI-generated image”.
  • In the file: the metadata state the IPTC digital source type “trainedAlgorithmicMedia”, the standard used by photo archives and search engines to recognise generated content.

Enhanced photographs

Some archive photographs have been enlarged with automatic upscaling tools so that they can be shown full screen. What they show does not change: they remain photographs of real works and do not carry the “AI” mark.

If you find a generated image without the mark, let us know and we will correct it.
